24- Hour War Issue
Ok, I just thought of something... Unless everyone buys second batteries, how will this work? The batteries can definitely not last 24 hours. Should we switch to spring guns after the batteries are dead? Leave comments and tell me what you think!

24 Hour War
I was thinking about all our airsoft expieriences and was thinking of ways to make it more realistic. I wanted to feel as if I were really in war. Then I thought, "Wars are really really long." Thats when it hit me. We had to have a long airsoft war. Not only would it make it feel more realistic but I feel as if it would be much more fun. Now, I also was posed the problem of finding people with the time and the privilages to be able to have a full day war (12 to 12). Ive been talking to people and they seem pretty into it. I am still wondering whether or not this would be a good idea.
If you would be able to participate and are interested please leave a comment and recomend a time (i.e. april vacation).

Snipers...
Ok, so when I think of sniper rifles I think of one shot one kill. That is why I bought my first airsoft sniper! I was so excited that I would have extreme stealth on my hands. I brought it to an airsoft battle and was very dissapointed. After waiting about half an hour for someone to come into view, I took my first shot. I missed... Surprisingly they didnt notice. I took another shot and hit my target! He seemed surprised and rubbed his arm but it didnt seem to leave that big of a mark. I took one more shot before being discovered... I was not helped. I got shot up like crazy! Also, I had nothing to fall back on! I was running like a wild goose! (with no sidearm).
This is why I only suggest snipers to people who play "one shot you are out" and not for people who play for pain.
Also my model was crappy and broke several days later.
(The picture above was NOT my model)

Airsoft, Fun or Recreation?

The amazing airsoft videos that youcan watch online are mostly those of recreation games. But, my friends and I play where pain is the game and there are no "outs" or "points".
If you want to play on a recreation team you have to have a gun below, I think 315fps. Somewhere in the three hundreds. If on the other hand you just play for fun you can use guns any strength.
Some benifits of recreation playing are that one, if your team becomes very good you can enter tournaments and possibly win money! Although, if you live in America it is very hard to find good teams to play on. If you live in Europe though its very easy to find teams becasue they are very popular.
When you play for fun there are some very big disadvantages. One, being that is almost impossible to find a "legal" spot to play. You have to have a large yard or property away from other houses. Or you can choose a place that is secluded, but this can be dangourous because you can get yelled at or repremanded. One last bad thing about playing for fun is that you can get seriously injured by your own guns. If you play on a team you you are supplied with proper armour and protection.
Playing for fun also has many freedoms that you cant get on any teams such as, the ability to shoot at people more than once and there are many more strict rules. Sniper rifles are not as useful though because you can get shot back even if you shoot him first.
In end it's all a matter of preference and varies from person to person!

A&K Full Metal SPC MOD1 Airsoft Gun

I bought this gun having no knowledge other than that of what was on the website already. It was the best decision regarding airsoft I have ever made. The gun is AMAZING! It shoots 415+fps and leaves quarter size welts! I would only suggest this gun to experienced players or people like me who play for pain not points.
I only had a very small selection of problems with this gun. They were minor and easy to fix. One thing that bothered me the most was that the cock back was having some issues opening. It would only come back half way and would restrict me from getting to the hopup. The only other small problem was the lack of instructions. My gun came with absolutely ZERO instructions. Which made me uneasy doing... Anything! The battery was a real pain to get in because you have to put it in upside down and you would never guess how. One last error is that the charger to charge the batteries is a European style plug. So, you have to go and buy either an adaptor or a new charger with the right voltage. BE CAREFUL ABOUT USING DIFFERENT CHARGERS!!! It can potentially ruin your battery and start a fire!
Overall this is the beat gun I have ever owned and would suggest this to anyone who is looking for a high powered gun.
Ps- I wrote this with an iPod so dismiss the spelling errors.

Echo 1 Vector Arms AK-74

One of the co-creators of this blog has this amazing gun. There were only a few problems that he found. On the battery holder, when opened, the spring that is used to to keep the bolt in place will periodically pop out. Also the actual bolt will become loose. But, the bolt has no real use other than to look cool and to adjust the hop up. His quick fix was to put a rubber band around the end of the spring holder to prevent the spring from sliding up the stick.
This gun is definitely recommended by him and me. It shoots at 400+ fps and really leaves a mark. It costs around 180$ if you get it from "airsoftgi.com" and is totally worth it.
